Readings
We have spent years in a detailed reading and study of writings by Sri Aurobindo that include The Life Divine, The Mother, The Synthesis of Yoga, The Essays of the Gita, and more. We have also surveyed India’s long spiritual tradition and other writings that connect with the Integral Yoga. For many this has deepened the understanding and intensified an aspiration to practice the Integral Yoga. We invite you to join the studies and hear the recordings from our past studies, which are available on our YouTube channel.
(Note that we will be regularly expanding what you can hear and see on our IKSC YouTube channel, so please check back periodically to view the updates.)

The Life Divine – Book I and Book II
For four years we pursued a detailed reading and study of Sri Aurobindo’s magnum opus, The Life Divine. This a philosophic work judged by many thinkers to be the greatest book of the twentieth century. Audio files from those Sunday study sessions can be found on our IKSC YouTube Channel.

The Mother
From August to December 2018, we gathered for a detailed reading and study of The Mother, Sri Aurobindo’s book of essays devoted to the Divine Mother. Recordings of our audio files from those Sunday study sessions will soon be on our IKSC YouTube channel.
The Synthesis of Yoga
In December 2018, we began a detailed reading and study of The Synthesis of Yoga, Sri Aurobindo’s most important writing on Integral Yoga. Recordings of our audio files from those Sunday study sessions will soon be on our IKSC YouTube channel.
Essays on the Gita
In January 2022, we began a detailed reading and study of Essays on the Gita, one of Sri Aurobindo’s most popular, profound, and readable books. Recordings of our audio files from those Sunday study sessions will soon be on our IKSC YouTube channel.
The Indian Spirit
To prepare for a long study of Sri Aurobindo’s The Life Divine — commencing on August 2014 — we devoted our Sunday evenings in the spring and summer of 2014 to a review of India’s spiritual tradition from the Vedic age to the present. Along the way, we examined core insights from the Rigveda, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Buddhism, Jainism, the Yoga Sutras, the major schools of Vedanta, the Mahadevi tradition, Tantra, Sri Vidya, the Trika philosophy of Kashmir, and the bhakti tradition.
The goal of these talks was to provide an outline and bring forward salient facts about the themes treated. None of the talks is exhaustive, and the omissions are many. Given only an hour of presentation, one can be sure that a disservice will be delivered to every topic briefly treated. The talks are indicative, not definitive. If they stimulate the listener’s interest and lead to more study, then they will serve their real purpose. You will soon find recordings from the studies on our IKSC YouTube channel.
Satsang Archive
As noted under the Center’s Activities, we hold a collective study, satsang, every Sunday evening at 7, focusing on the practice of the Integral Yoga. The Mother’s music and Sanskrit chants open the evening, then the salient features of the evening’s material are presented, followed by questions, answers, and discussion. The evening is capped with collective meditation. In recent years, we worked both in Sri Aurobindo’s The Synthesis of Yoga, Letters on Yoga, Essays on the Gita, and The Mother, and in the Mother’s Conversations, Notes on the Way, and some of her Questions and Answers series. A four-year study completed in 2018 was in Sri Aurobindo’s The Life Divine. A few selections from a range of archived Sunday sessions will soon be on our IKSC YouTube channel.
